In seeking forgiveness and reconciliation from God, is a Protestant justified to play by their own rules, in which they can just go directly to God for forgiveness of all sins (including mortal sin)? Will their way of asking God for forgiveness of mortal sin be recognized by God? Do Protestants need to have perfect contrition in such a case?
Do you have anymore information on the Nazarite vow other than what is mentioned in the Bible.
I’ve heard it said that those who are not in the full communion of the Church (e.g. Protestants) can still attain salvation, but it is more difficult. I realize that they’re not in communion with the Body of Christ in the fullest sense and don’t have access to the entire deposit of faith, but in what ways is attaining their salvation more difficult?
