What We Do

Two Things:

We promote Faith and Works. Through ASK A BISHOP videos we communicate the Christian faith and through PROJECT FINDING CALCUTTA events we organize charitable works of mercy locally.

EVANGELIZE THE E-GENERATION

ASK A BISHOP’s mission is to create media content to communicate the life and faith of the Catholic Church through the lens of its bishops within the digital world.

“Let us boldly become citizens of the digital world” – Pope Francis

WHY ASK

We all have questions. As children, questioning was a process of learning and growing. As we get older, it seems that we question for the sake of questioning, and we argue with no real examination of our beliefs and opinions. Have we lost our child-like inquisitiveness? No. But perhaps we are a bit out of practice.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good dead: His eyes are closed.
– Albert Einstein

On this website, our purpose is to open your eyes to the mysterious, your mind to seek truth, and your heart to desire to understand. Ultimately, to fully enter into the human experience. We all have questions about the Meaning of Life, Suffering, Society, Common Good, Religion and God. They will be answered by Catholic Bishops here.

WHY BISHOPS

For over two thousand years, we have had an unbroken line of Shepherds, starting with the apostle Peter, the first Bishop, to whom Jesus said You are rock, and upon this rock I will build my Church (Matthew 16:18). Through these Shepherds we hold the timeless treasure of the Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scriptures to guide us in truth and love.

A bishop is the principal teacher. He is the primary dispenser of all the Sacraments and he has the oversight of the Liturgy. Through his relationships with the priests of his diocese, the Bishop is able to shepherd the people of his diocese. The Bishops have been given a special outpouring of grace, to continue the work that the Apostles started. Catholic bishops who have extensive knowledge in history, philosophy, and theology share the wisdom of the Church on this website.

We invite everyone to join this dialogue, no matter what your background is. Currently ASK A BISHOP videos are being watched in over 120 countries.

WHY SERVE

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Bheemar Family

Anand and Lindsey live in Dallas with their four children, Sophia, Damien, Giovanni, and Elliot. They met each other in 2005 when they joined a missionary organization called FOCUS.

Through their campus ministry experience, they discovered that many young people now a days are seeking for a spirituality that fits them but don’t feel comfortable talking about it. But the dialogue is still taking place, silently with a few clicks on the Internet. Ask A Bishop is a response to that very need.

Anand now meets with people of different backgrounds to gather questions that they have about Life, Society, and Religion; and films interviews with Bishops who have extensive knowledge in history, philosophy, and theology to get those questions answered. His dream is to get all the Bishops in the world to participate in this online apostolate and to top it off someday with an interview with the Bishop of Rome, the Pope.

Together, let us do something beautiful for God on the Internet.
