We have taken dozens of people to Calcutta. Many of us had a profound experience serving the poorest of the poor with the Missionaries of Charity sisters. Some of us did not want to end the journey upon returning, so we decided to continue it locally. In 2019, during the season of Lent, we launched Project: Finding Calcutta inspired by the encouragement of St. Teresa of Calcutta herself.
“Find your own Calcutta. Find the sick, the suffering, and the lonely, right where you are — in your own homes and in your own families, in your workplaces and in your schools. You can find Calcutta all over the world, if you have eyes to see.”

Come join us for a half day of service on the third Saturday of each month that will begin with Mass at 8 a.m. After that, we’ll have fellowship over breakfast and then split up into smaller groups to go visit the elderly at a nursing home, serve the homeless at a soup kitchen, or help the disabled at a shelter.
This is a family-friendly event, so feel free to bring your kids. Let us teach them to do the Corporal Works of Mercy from a young age.
Please RSVP here or on Facebook, so we can let the places of service know how many people to expect. Like Mother Teresa said, “let us do something beautiful for God“. There will be lunch afterwards (optional), if you want to socialize with the other volunteers.
